I am back on the blogging saddle because of something I heard recently on the balanced bites podcast. Writing down your feelings can be cathartic. So True. On previous attempts of weight loss I did well when blogging multiple times a week.
I am on day TWO of the 21 day sugar detox program by Diane Sanfilippo. Let me say this is REALLY hard for me! My biggest issue is the morning coffee! Ugh! I am choking down my iced espresso with coconut milk because it just tastes gross to me! I am going to cold brew some coffee tonight and see if cold brew might test better than espresso without any sweeteners: natural or artificial.
Once I complete level 2 of the 21DSD, I plan to eat a squeaky clean paleo diet to improve health and help me lose weight in preparation for baby #2.
Speaking of babies, let me introduce myself a bit. My name is Tracy. I am 33 years old (really?? Can this even be true? Yep, I guess so..... Hmmmmmmm). I am a mother, wife, and registered nurse, in that order. I have an almost two year old bundle of fun, named Willy. He has an exuberance for life that I long for. When I can get some of that kid''s energy? Is that even possible? Does anyone even know? Well, enough about me for the moment.... on with the blog post.
I am hopeful that the completion of the 21DSD will help me break the diet cherry Pepsi habit and cravings for sugar! I have read such positive reviews and success stories from others on the Facebook page and youtube videos. Diane, has stressed preparation is the key to completing this detox program and I trying to stay on top of the meals/snacks. I am eating snacks when I feel hungry which I think help me stay on program and prevent a crash and burn binge that I have been known be involved with in the past.
I will update shortly with how the detox is progressing... Stay tuned for more......
